Love me in the dark
like you love me in the light.
I need it more then.
Holiness doesn’t mean doing extraordinary things, but doing ordinary things with love and faith.

Growing up, my bedroom was right above my parents’ bedroom and I used to hear them laughing before they went to sleep. If you were around my parents, you want to be married; you want to have what they have.
Sometimes it is the smallest thing that saves us: the weather growing cold, a child’s smile, and a cup of excellent coffee.
I get worried for young girls; I want them to feel that they can be sassy and full and weird and geeky and smart and independent, and not so withered and shriveled.
I still love the people I’ve loved, even if I cross the street to avoid them.
